Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. is accepting applications for a Journeyman Lineman.
The successful individual will perform climbing and non-climbing tasks necessary in the construction and maintenance operations of overhead and underground electric facilities. These positions involve manual labor such as shoveling, digging trenches, setting poles and backfilling and tamping, operating heavy equipment, etc. The successful candidate will safely perform technical work involving the performance of all tasks associated with the construction, maintenance, and operation of SSVEC's electrical system by performing all line work involved in the day-to-day operation of SSVEC's electric system, including transmission, overhead, and underground distribution power lines, substations and switching yards, outage mitigation and executing switching programs.
Journeymen Linemen requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a Lineman Apprenticeship program, and satisfactory on-the-job skills evaluation by SSVEC management.
If hired, you must be able to obtain or possess a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's license.
